Tulip is an 8 year old orange domestic short hair tabby with a loud motor. Since most orange cats are boys, we feel honored to have a rare female orange tabby! She loves attention by rubbing herself against you, and forcing your hand to stroke her head. She loves her ears rubbed and her butt scratched. She has SOOOOOO much love to give so she is waiting patiently for her family to spoil. Tulip is a total diva and wants you to know-she wants NO OTHER CAT IN HER NEW HOUSEHOLD! Tulip does have IBS- we have done bloodwork and an ultrasound was performed on her. She is currently regulated on a limited antigen diet and is doing well. She may be available for a long term foster situation so we can care for her health needs. She gets an injection every 6 weeks or so to help her and it works well. Did you say neck rub? Tulip is an affectionate cat who wants nothing more than to hang out with you on the sofa or snuggled next to you while you read the next best seller. While in foster, she has earned the title of ?snuggle bug.? She?s even an expert at tossing her toys into the air for entertainment. She will sleep the day away and chatter with you when you get home. Being the diva that she is, she wants to keep you to herself so no other cats can be in the household. She is so adamant about this, that when she moved into her foster home she actually hissed at herself in a mirror. Tulip does have IBS but it has little impact on her box manners, she is impeccably clean, but will occasionally leave small drops outside the box as she exits. She is currently doing very well on Blue Buffalo Basics dry and Avo Derm canned food (both are grain free). She may be available for a long term foster situation so we can care for her health needs which requires a periodic shot to help with her IBS. A word from her foster mom: ?Tulip is loving, low key and fun cat. She is also super easy to care for and has adapted to my home with ease and my work schedule. She parks herself in the front window to watch me drive up and greets me at the back door. When I rattle the cat food bag or pop a top to her canned food, she will come running. When it?s time to sleep she will snuggle up for the night and doesn?t wake up until I do. Based on the time I?ve spent with her, she would be an ideal match for someone who lives alone and wants a gentle companion, or someone who works from home that she can keep an eye on and chatter to. She might do well with quiet older children, but homes with small, active children might make her nervous. Tulip gets along with dogs but doesn't not like other cats- she must be an only kitty!
