You can't ask for a cuter dog than Button! This affectionate little boy is about two years of age, and was found as a stray by a private citizen after he had been hit by a car. He was taken to an emergency clinic and fixed up but then found himself at the Everett Animal Shelter. That shelter then asked Homeward if we could provide for his recovery and find him his forever home. Button is now fully recovered and ready to start his new life. Button is thought to be a Terrier/Dachshund mix, and has the personality and spunk to prove it. Button enjoys the company of other dogs, but sometimes is a bit pushy with them. He has lived with cats and mostly ignores them. Due to his shy nature and previous history as a stray it is recommended that Button be placed with older and respectful childre around the age of 10 and up. Button has been working on his housetraining but is not 100% yet - adopters should be prepared to provide supervision and frequent outdoor trips. Button loves to play, play, play, and loves to romp around in the yard. Once he is tuckered out he wants nothing more than to curl up and the lap of his owner and cuddle. Button is not a good candidate for an apartment or condo as he can sometimes be fairly vocal, especially when left unattended. He is shy with new people and when put into new environments, but it does not take long for him to warm up and show you his true personality.
